Friday, May 24

 

Art Exhibit: "Quirky Dystopia" Drawings by Eli Wald: Held all day in the Mount Kisco Library, 100 East Main Street.

Game Club: 3 p.m. Middle and high school students are welcome to play board games. North Castle Public Library, 19 Whippoorwill Road East, Armonk.

Concert: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Grades 9 through 12 are invited to join musicians Ryder Stuart, Eugene Bisdkian, and Kevin Myers for this Friday night concert. Chappaqua Public Library, 195 South Greeley Avenue.

Art Exhibit: "Quirky Dystopia" Drawings by Eli Wald: Held all day in the Mount Kisco Library, 100 East Main Street.

 

“Horse Stuff” Tag and Bake Sale: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bedford Riding Lanes Association will host its second annual “Horse Stuff” tag and bake sale this Saturday at John Jay Homestead. The sales will be held under a tent, which will also include pony rides and a petting zoo. Items at the bake sale will include pies, cakes, brownies, scones, pound cakes, Irish soda bread, cookies and cupcakes from “local gourmet baker volunteers.” The coinciding tag sale will include horse items that people might no longer need themselves, including horse blankets, saddles and other equipment needed to own a horse.

 

Learn Tai Chi in 2013: 10:30 a.m. Make tai chi your new hobby in 2013 at the North Castle Public Library with certified Feldenkrais movement and tai chi instructor Lawrence Attile. 19 Whippoorwill Road East, Armonk.

 

Chappaqua Farmers Market Outdoor Season: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The Chappaqua Farmers Market welcomes shoppers for their third season with new offerings.  The market's spring/summer season is held at the Chappaqua train station.

 

Sunday, May 26

Memorial Day Classic in Armonk: An all day event featuring all-star games, homerun derby prizes, food and entertainment, come out and spend an amazing day of baseball with the community. Community Park, 205 Business Park Drive, Armonk.

 

Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day)

 

New Castle Memorial Day Parade: 10:30 a.m. Ceremonies at the Victory Corners Monument (King Street and Bedford Road) will take place at 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 27, 2013, with a Clergyman, Parade Marshals, Town Board, Veterans and a bugler in attendance. The Honor Guard, Marshals, Clergy, Town Board, School and Library Boards, Pipers and Delancey's Brigade, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq-Afghanistan Veterans, Gold Star Mothers and Seniors will also be there. The parade will assemble in Ridgewood Terrace at 10:40 a.m. and at Bedford Road at 11 a.m.

Plants and Things Memorial Day Tribute in Mount Kisco: 9 a.m. to Noon. Plants and Things Floral Design is again participating in the nationwide Memorial Day Flowers Program and will set up a stand at Oakwood Cemetery to give out roses to visitors on Monday, May 27th between 9am -12 noon.  Each visitor will receive two roses; one to place on a headstone, another to take home in memory.  If you would like to get involved and help hand out roses please call Plants and Things at 914-666-7170.

 

BRLA Memorial Day Country Pace & Luncheon: 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register here. The Bedford Riding Lanes Association will hold its annual pace race and luncheon at John Jay Homestead State Historic Site. 400 Jay St, Katonah.
