Summer Armchair Art Series in the Magazine/Media Room: 7 p.m. Professor Valerie Franco examines some of the important works and portraits on the Great Depression of renowned documentary photographer Dorothea Lange. Lange's work highlighted the sense of dignity and perseverance that poverty stricken people were able to maintain in spite of the tragedies they suffered through during the 1930s in America. Free.
