Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market Celebrates Grand Opening

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Friends and neighbors made a "Dash to The TaSH" on foot, by bike and by car Saturday for the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market grand opening.

The TaSh Farmers Market opened May 23 and runs every Saturday through Thanksgiving.

Approximately 2,000 visitors went to Patriots Park to share in the festivities on opening day. The market included diverse vendors, and festivities included live music, dancing and yoga.

Route 9 and Andrea and the Armenian Rug Riders provided music. Twenty vendors offered a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, fish, breads, baked goods and prepared foods. Shoppers began connections with farmers who gave advice on cooking new and different vegetables and meats. They also enjoyed learning from the chef's demonstration.

The TaSh Farmers Market will be open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thanksgiving.
