ARMONK, N.Y. -- Armonk's North Castle Public Library will present The River Trio as part of its Sunday Afternoon Music Sessions starting at 3 p.m. on Nov. 3.
The trio features flutist Pamela Sklar, violinist Linda Finegan Lott and cellist Jay Shulman. They will be playing the music of Ludwig August Lebrun and the "Grand Trio, Op. 35 for Flute, Violin & Cello" by Eugène Walckiers.
Sklar performs for various groups at Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Madison Square Garden, and has played in the Grammy Awards Orchestra and the JVC Jazz Festival Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. She has also worked repeatedly with Dave Brubeck.
Some of the highlights of Lott's performing career are doing all of the Verdi operas in Central Park, playing in the orchestra for the Olympics in Seoul, Korea, and in many orchestra concerts in Carnegie Hall.
Shulman is a member of the Long Island Philharmonic, and he teaches and performs throughout the Hudson Valley.
