Theatre Company Performing 'I Am My Own Wife' In Armonk

KATONAH, N.Y. -- The Small Town Theatre Company will produce a fully staged production of "I Am My Own Wife" at both the Hergenhan Center in Armonk and The Katonah Village Library in Katonah.

"I Am My Own Wife" will be performed in Armonk on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13. The Katonah performances will be on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20. All performances will be at 8 p.m. 

"I Am My Own Wife" is Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning one-man play. It tells the story of the East German transvestite Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, who operated an antique business for years, despite the encroaching dangrs of the Nazi and Community regimes.

The cast includes Tom Kramer of Hartsdale, N.Y. The production will be directed by Mara Mills of Thornwood, N.Y.
