Eureka! Invention Camp (for children entering grades K-4) by Mad Science
Children will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all – their mind. With a little bit of ingenuity, children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.
Monday, Aug. 17 through Friday, Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Hergenhan Recreation Center basement. Fee is $302 for residents and $332 for non-residents
Hot Robots (for children entering grades K-4) by Mad Science
Join Mad Science and Radical Robots for a scientific journey through circuitry and sensors. Children will explore several different types of robots and play tag with robots that they control. Campers will also build their own robots to take home.
Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Aug. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Hergenhan Recreation Center basement. Fee is $302 for residents and $332 for non-residents.
First Play Soccer (for ages 5 to 11) by U.S. Sports Institute
Experience the excitement of the world's most popular sport at First Play Soccer. Children will thrive in the exciting, fun atmosphere generated by internationally qualified coaches and take part in daily themes and soccer challenges.
Monday, Aug. 24 through Thursday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1-4 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Park, 205 Business Park Drive. Friday, Aug. 28 will be used as a rain date if necessary. Fee for the 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. timeframe is $149 for residents, $164 for non-residents; fee for the 1-4 p.m. timeframe is $109 for residents, $120 for non-residents; and the fee for the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. timeframe is $179 for residents, $197 for non-residents.
