North Castle Library Will Celebrate Indian Independence Day

ARMONK, N.Y. -- In honor of India's independence day, which falls on Aug. 15, the North Castle Public Library is hosting an India Day celebration.

On Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. the North Castle Public Library will celebrate Indian independence.

The library invites the community to come celebrate freedom from British rule and remember the freedom fighters with patriotic songs, dancing and patriotic poems.

The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, from 1-4 p.m. at Whipporwill Hall. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.
