The free exhibit will be at 7 p.m., Aug. 14, in the library's magazine/media room, 19 Whippoorwill Road East, Armonk.
At the event, professor Valerie Franco examines some of the important works and portraits on the Great Depression by Lange, a renowned documentary photographer. She will look at the works and discuss the political and social climate during the time when Lange was at her creative apex. Lange's work highlighted the sense of dignity and perseverance that poverty stricken people were able to maintain in spite of the tragedies they suffered through during the 1930s in America.
