North Castle Library To Host Gun-Safety Forum

ARMONK, N.Y. -- The North Castle Public Library will host a forum on gun safety and children with several guest speakers on Wednesday, May 14, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Speakers will discuss the issue of keeping unsecured guns away from children and teaching children the importance of safety around guns.

Scheduled to speak are Dr. Arthur Caplan, renowned bioethicist and global leader in medical ethics, founding head of Bioethics at NYU Langone Medical Center, recipient 2014 National Science Board’s Public Service Award; U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey, who will deliver opening remarks; State Assemblyman David Buchwald; and Justin Wagner, vice president of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.

Members of the Million Mom March of Northern Westchester are also helping to promote the event.
