Fairfield PAL Announces Trout Derby Winners

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield Police Activities League held its annual Trout Fishing Derby at Gould Manor Park last weekend and many young people were awarded for their catches. Here’s a list of this year’s winners:

First Trout (Boys): Tito Torres

First Trout (Girls): Giania Padillo

Biggest Trout, Ages 3-8 (Boys): Justin Mauri, 14.5 in. Rainbow Trout

Biggest Trout, Ages 3-8 (Girls): Sofia Churyk, 12.5 in. Rainbow Trout

Biggest Trout, Ages 9-15 (Boys): Gus Bochanis, 14.75 in. Rainbow Trout

Biggest Trout, Ages 9-15 (Girls): Leanne Leko, 16 in. Rainbow Trout

Smallest Trout (Boys): John Richardson

Smallest Trout (Girls): Rielle Kerny

First Tagged Trout: Omar Ruizaparza

Biggest Fish Other Than Trout: Francisco Moran, 20 in. Carp

Smallest Fish Other Than Trout: Hillary Hickey, 3.5 in. Sunfish
