Kensico Dam In Valhalla Launches July 4 Festivities Friday

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Westchester will kick off its Independence Day celebrations with music and fireworks Friday at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, said County Executive Rob Astorino.

Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The Gerard Carelli Orchestra takes the stage at 8 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

The music festival is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by First Niagara Foundation, Astorino said. It is also supported by radio station 100.7 WHUD and the Friends of Westchester County Parks Inc.

Admission and parking are free. Carpooling is suggested. Concertgoers and picnickers should bring blankets or lawn chairs.
