Victim Shot Multiple Times In Bridgeport

A person was shot multiple times in Fairfield County during an assault.

The incident took place in Bridgeport a little after 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 17 in the area of Washington and Highland Avenues.

According to Terron Jones, a spokesman for the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm and located the victim.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in an "unknown" condition, Jones said.
