YONKERS, N.Y. Ralph Rufino of Yonkers died Oct. 14. He was 76.
Born Sept. 25, 1936, in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of Dominic and Maria Longo Rufino. He married Doreen Muscente on Aug. 31, 1957, in Rochester, N.Y. Rufino worked as a mechanic at Dave's Service Station in Yonkers.
He is survived by 14 children, Faith, Timmy (Linda), Jaimie (Candice), Ralph, Kris, David (Gina), Jeff (Nicole), Aimee, Karen and Anthony Rufino, Hope (Jae) Mitchnick, Dee (George) Zastenchik, Dena (Fred) Squazzo and Noelle (Michael) DelGiudice; two sisters-in-law, Pam Muscente and Midge Kotash; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife died in 2005 and a daughter, Margaret Ellard-Rufino, died in 2010.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, at Flower Funeral Home in Yonkers. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers.
