ARMONK, N.Y. – Hudson Valley Stage Company presents its opening weekend of “Outside Mullingar,” beginning Friday, April 17.
The play by John Patrick Shanley will be staged on weekends from Friday, April 17 through Saturday May 2 at Whippoorwill Hall Theatre at North Castle Library.
A rundown of the plot is below:
Anthony has spent his entire life on a castle farm in a rural Ireland, a state of affairs that due to his painful shyness, suits him well. Rosemary lives right next door, determined to have him, watching thr years slip away. With Anthony’s father threatening to disinherbit him and a land feud simmering between their families, Rosemary has every reason to fear romantic catastrophe.
All showings on Fridays and Saturdays will be held at 8 p.m., productions on Sundays will take place at 3 p.m. An additional showing will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 3 p.m.
