Chick-fil-A officials said they had selected Scott Buccellato as the franchise owner of the new restaurant in Westbury opening on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The restaurant is excepted to hire more than 140 new employees -- or team members -- in Chick-fil-A talk.

The new restaurant, located at 1530 Old Country Road, the restaurant will open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday and close on Sundays.

The dining room seats 138 and has an indoor children’s playground and free Wi-Fi for guests.

Buccellato, who was born in northern New Jersey, has lived on Long Island for the past 10 years, said he feels a deep connection to Westbury and the surrounding area as he and his wife, Jeanne-Marie, have parents, multiple siblings and 13 nieces and nephews living in the area.

“I am committed to applying the Chick-fil-A core principles of serving guests through remarkable hospitality and fresh, hand-crafted food in Westbury, he said. "I look forward to providing my team members an exciting and fun place to work, with growth opportunities in a family-like atmosphere."
