White Plains Hospital will be presenting Journey of a Lifetime: Staying Positive Through Cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 7:30pm at the JCC (Jewish Community Center) of Mid-Westchester, located at 999 Wilmot Road in Scarsdale.

The event is also co-sponsored by the Jewish Book Council and Cancer Support Team. Authors Deb Ebenstein, author of Mani-Pedi STAT: Memoirs of a Jersey Girl Who Almost Lost Everything, and Geralyn Lucas, author of Then Came Life: Living with Courage, Spirit, and Gratitude After Breast Cancer and Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy will share empowering stories about surviving cancer with resilience, courage, optimism and humor.

The event will be moderated by White Plains Hospital Hematologist/Oncologist Subuhee Hussain, MD. Dr. Hussain has broad experience with all types of solid tumors, gynecologic malignancies, hematologic malignancies, benign hematologic conditions, and has been an investigator as part of several clinical trials. She has been a member of the White Plains Hospital medical staff since 2008 and is the current Chair of the Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Board at
