The Bristal, at 90 Business Park Drive and run by the Engel Burman Group, is a three-story, 119,000 square foot facility that includes 106 residents. Forty apartments are for seniors who require memory care.
Last year, the Bristal opened a facility in White Plains.
"It is particularly gratifying to know that many of our new residents are from Armonk and the surrounding communities," Jan Berman, president of the Engel Burman Group, said. "With the aging of Westchester's population, it is important older adults be able to remain close to their families in a caring and enjoyable environment."
The facility features a cinema, fitness center, salon, arts and crafts studio, bingo center, game room and a pool.
North Castle Supervisor Michael Schiliro said the Bristal was a wonderful addition to the town. The Engel Burman Group had previously donated to help refurbish Armonk's famed eagle.
"We're delighted to celebrate today's grand opening," Schiliro said. "On behalf of all of our residents, we wish The Bristal at Armonk the best of success."
With Westchester's population aging, Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett said it was important to have facilities like the Bristal in the county.
"The Bristal at Armonk adds to the vitality of Westchester's economy and creating new jobs in the healthcare sector," Plunkett said. "Westchester welcomes companies that are investing in the future of our county's economy."
