Boys & Girls Club Tourney Raises More Than $30K

BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- The 20th annual golf tournament for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester successfully raised more than $30,000 for the club’s programs and services.

The signature outing was held on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills.

Following the tournament, nearly 100 golfers and guests enjoyed a cocktail reception including a tequila tasting, hand-rolled cigars and an awards presentation during dinner. The event also hosted a live and silent auction, featuring an autographed action photo of Derek Jeter as well as golf foursomes and luxury vacation packages.

“Over the last two decades, our golfers and supporters have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Club,” said BGCNW Executive Director Brian Skanes. “I hope that participants take pride in knowing the powerful impact their generosity has had on the children we serve and the vital programs we provide.”

The Golf Tournament Committee was chaired by Jim Steets and includes Kevin Bannon, Lou Claytor, Bruce Cohen, John Crabtree, Robert J. Levine,Tom O’Neil, Ben Palancia, Chris Rabley, R. Todd Rockefeller, Robert Sanders, Nick Scala, Emily Stoddard, Rick Suarez, Ken Theobalds and Mike Wolfensohn.
