The Blues Mothers Set To Rock Armonk

ARMONK, N.Y. -- The North Castle Public Library's "Summer Music Series" will present The Blues Mothers on Wednesday.

The free 7 p.m. show is at the library, 19 Whippoorwill Road E., Armonk.

These talented women combine their various musical influences of Chicago blues, folk, classical, jazz and rock to create an exciting collaboration.

Their live performances often take their audiences by surprise with their fearless improvised solos from the flute and harmonica, strong lead vocals and accompaniment from bass and guitar.

The band was voted "Best of 2012 Indie Artists" by Women of Substance/WOS Radio

The band consists of Jenny Murphy, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Hope Berkeley, harmonica and vocals; Pam Sklar, flute and vocals; Irene Maher, guitar and vocals; Joan Indig, bass and vocals; and and Bill Reeve, drums.
