Bedford's Truck Holds Fundraiser For Paralyzed Fox Lane Student

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- TRUCK is hosting a fundraiser, Tacos and Margaritas For Emmet, on Monday, Nov. 17 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., to help support its former worker and Fox Lane High School senior Emmet Gallagher, who was paralyzed in a motor cross bike accident over the summer.

The accident left him completely paralyzed from the neck down. His family has insurance, but it did not cover all costs. The expenses that the family will face in the years to come will continually increase.

Donations will be collected at the door with a suggested donation of $125. TRUCK will be providing free food, free drinks, free ice cream and a place to gather to show support. There will be prizes, donated from local businesses, that will be raffled off in hopes to bring in more funds.

All proceeds are going directly to the Gallaghers.

Police will be there to man the road. Parking is available at TRUCK and Bedford True Value Hardware.
