Armonk's Small Town Theatre To Stage A Reading Of 'Shadow Box'

ARMONK, N.Y. -- The Small Town Theatre Company will present a staged play reading of "The Shadow Box" by Michael Christofer at The Hergenhan Center in Armonk at 8 p.m. May 17 and 18.

Directed by Tom Kramer of Hartsdale, the cast includes Daniel Basiletti of Yonkers, Dorina DiLullo of Hastings-on-Hudson, Nadine Greco of Larchmont, Jeanne McCabe of Croton-on-Hudson, Dick Nagle of Croton-on-Hudson, Nellie O'Brien of Yorktown Heights and David Sevensky of Yorktown Heights.

"The Shadow Box" examines questions of living and dying and how we, as humans, try to cope with our mortality. Three tales unfold and each features a person who is dying. Each person is surrounded by loved ones and all are trying to face and make sense of death.

"The Shadow Box" opened in 1977 and won the Tony Award for best play and the Pulitzer Prize for drama.
