The reading will take place at the North Castle Public Library at 8 p.m., and is free to the general public. Donations will be accepted, however.

Pia Haas will direct Angie Joachim, Greg Mangieri and Larry Reina in the play, which is set in Kingston, N.Y., on a chilly night. A woman and a boy try to stay warm while at a bus stop, telling each other stories to keep the cold out.

Linklater is best-known for recurring roles on CBS sitcoms “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “The Crazy Ones,” and appeared in Shakespeare in the Park's 2009 production of “Twelfth Night.” He made his Broadway debut in 2011 in Theresa Rebeck's play “Seminar” and portrayed Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca in 2013's Jackie Robinson biopic “42.”

There will be a reception after the play with the actors and director.
