My family and I moved to North Salem about 13 years ago. My wife Nancy, my son Russel, my daughter Jackie and I all love it here. I was elected to the Town Board in November. My previous/ existing volunteer positions in North Salem: member of the Town's Comprehensive Plan and Open Space Committees; firefighter and EMT with the Croton Falls Fire Dept.; trustee and former President of the North Salem Historical Society; member of and active volunteer with the North Salem Lion's Club and the North Salem Open Land Foundation; Assistant Scoutmaster with North Salem Boy Scout Troop 1. I am also a jazz guitarist; my trio plays frequently in Town to support local fundraisers and events, and I run a monthly jam session at the St. James Village Hall that is open to anyone in Town. I am an attorney, and I have spent most of my career in public service. I was a member of the Executive Staff of the NY State Organized Crime Task Force. Prior to that, I was an Assistant Division Chief in the NYC Law Dept., and subsequent to my OCTF service, I was a member of the Executive Staff of the Inspector General for the NYC School Construction Authority. In my current position as Managing Director with Thacher Associates LLC, I spend most of my time advising our government clients on integrity and compliance issues and managing integrity monitoring projects.
