The New York Stock Exchange stopped all trading at 11:32 a.m. on Wednesday due to reported technical issues, according to Business Insider.
Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq were down more than 1 percent at the time of the stoppage, Business Insider reported.
Update: Trading resumed at approximately 3:10 p.m. after an outage that lasted nearly 4 hours, according to CNN.com .
