Plans For Rye Playland Include New Rides, Restaurants

RYE, N.Y. -- Among the plans that a private company has for Playland, the county-owned amusement park in Rye, are new rides, restaurants and an updated parking lot, according to a report by lohud.com.

Soon-to-be operator Standard Amusements LLC said it would add $30 million to the $58 million the county already plans to invest as part of the deal to spruce up the troubled park, lohud.com reported.

Because many questions remain as part of the review process, the fast-approaching deadline on Standard’s opt-out clause in its contract may have to be extended, the lohud story said.
