NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Known for its famous chili dogs, the Little Spot restaurant, a fixture in North White Plains for 60 years, make soon be closed due to owing almost $400,000 in back property taxes, according to lohud.com.
News that it may close went viral after a Facebook post on the Little Spot's page asked for help to stop North Castle from shutting them down even though they offered to pay 95 percent of the back taxes, the post has since been taken down, said lohud.com.
Town officials told lohud.com that the eatery has not paid any taxes since 2009 and that they didn't make a promised payment. Town officials also said if the small restaurant doesn't work with the town, the town will foreclose on the property to try and recoup some of its money, added lohud.com.
