WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A report shows Internal Revenue Service's Taxpayer Assistance Center employees face problems at their job including being overworked, underpaid and overwhelmed, according to bloomberg.com.
The IRS employees state other issues as well, such as a 16-year employee seeing only a two-percent pay raise in four years; employees having to complete their own clerical tasks because the agency hasn't replaced their lost secretary; and some employees requiring to purchase their own office supplies, according to bloomberg.com.
The company also claims that less than 40 percent of individuals who will call the IRS are likely to get through and speak to someone, reported bloomgberg.com.
