There will also be a mini camp for three- to five-year-olds offered in conjunction with the sports and fitness day camp.
While this is the first year either organization is offering an outdoor camp, both have extensive experience in indoor camps, youth programs, birthday parties and charity events.
“The Gym of Armonk in conjunction with North Castle Pool & Tennis, have a unique camp because it is offering professional instruction to young children who wish to learn swimming techniques under actual swim coaches, along with strengthening coaches who can teach lifestyle methods to become great athletes,” said The Gym Youth Program Director Matt Spallina.
North Castle Pool & Tennis Pool Director and Head Coach Jon Hulbert is equally enthusiastic.
“We are looking forward to developing young campers into all-around people who can carry the importance of an active lifestyle with them throughout life,” Hulbert said.
“And with the younger campers, we hope to start the process of teaching them how to have fun while also learning how to become achievers in all facets of their lives,” he added.
Both programs have hired qualified staffing for both new summer camps, who will provide daily activities for campers that will include sports, games, fitness-building, swimming, snack breaks and even a color war.
