Owner Victor Ponzo, a longtime Wall Street executive, said it's always been a dream of his to open a place where residents can enjoy good food and music.

He hopes to open The Heights and Brother's Vic's Lounge in early February. Basically, the venue is comprised of two parts: a lounge area in the front which seats about 50, and a banquet area in the back, which can accommodate 200. This space, he said, will be used for parties, weddings and other events, including live concerts.

A musician -- he's in a band with other Lewisboro residents called Blues Corruption -- he's already booked a few acts and has lots of ideas for more. He also plans to showcase live concerts and sporting events on screens in the lounge portion.

The restaurant/lounge, located in Vista but with a South Salem P.O., will feature a la carte dining focusing on American regional cuisine -- think steaks, chops, fish and chicken (his chef, Matt White, has 30-plus years experience and hails from Cos Cob, Conn) and will be open Wednesday to Sunday. His general manager, Brian Gernant, also has years of hospitality business under his belt, having worked at Restaurant 121 in North Salem among other venues.

Rounding out his team is Bar Manager Sue Vitiello, formerly at Moderne Barn in Armonk, Tap House in Tuckahoe and Village Social in Mount Kisco. Ponzo said she will make the Lounge and drink experience top notch.

"This is something I've wanted to do for a long time," said Ponzo. "It's literally 10 minutes from my house - so I'm not commuting 60 miles to the City every day. Plus, I'm offering this area something different and exciting.

"It's an affordable and new kind of catering venue -- fine dining and entertainment at not a crazy price point."

The Heights and Brother's Vic's Lounge is located at 920 Oakridge Commons, (914) 841-1597; website to come.
