The company's Evrest device releases DHP into the air to combat mold, bacteria, viruses, microbes and offensive odors from a variety of sources including cigarette smoke, mildew, garbage and pets, according to a press release.
The DHP is generated when oxygen and humidity passes through a replaceable free sail.
The company says the product can treat any surface the air can reach.
"Our product is a significant advance above anything else on the market,” said Douglas Bosma, R & D Director at Lee Antimicrobial Solutions.” “It is the first disinfection technology that can be used continuously in occupied spaces while still being affordable. It does not release anything harmful into the air; it is eco-friendly and it is safe for continuous use around people.”
DHP originally was designed to disinfect facilities such as hospitals and food processing plants, according to a press release.
