The smartwatch is expected to go on sale on Friday, April 24 in nine countries, and the company will start accepting pre-orders on Friday, April 10, the report said.

The smartwatch will be available in a wide range of designs, including Apple Watch Sport, the stainless steel Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Edition, according to the report. Prices will vary beginning from $349 up to $17,000 for its high-end Apple Watch Edition, the report said.

Apple hopes that the smartwatch will allow users to gain small chunks of information and allow people to communicate through taps and vibrations, the report said.

Apps such as WeChat, Major League Baseball, American Airlines, Instagram and Uber have already signed on to be part of Apple's smartwatch phenomenon, the report said.

Apple Watch is the company’s first all-new product since it introduced the iPad in 2010, the report said.
